8 Gateway Residents Compete in Muddy Buddy 7-Mile Bike & Run in Orlando

Orlando, FL
Over 4,000 people competed in the 7 mile bike, run and mud crawl Saturday afternoon at the Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando. 8 residents from Gateway were part of the competition. The Muddy Buddy is a combination of  competition and fun. It includes physical challenges such as a wall climb, army crawl, balance beam walk and mud pit. Each leg is about a mile and competitors switch from bike to run leapfrogging past their partner.

Everyone competes against people their own age and the race includes co-ed category, male teams, female teams and a "mini" for kids. Among the Gateway competitors, Brain Crowley (to the right, # 1518) after finishing the race in less than an hour. There is another Muddy Buddy in November in Miami. We are organizing a group to attend this event. If you are interested in receiving e-mail updates about that event including hotel room rates and how to train for the competition, please sene me an e-mail.
