EXCLUSIVE: Patch Adams Visits Southwest Florida to Cheer up Kids.

Naples Florida

This weekend the real Patch Adams paid a visit to Southwest Florida. He spent Saturday clowning around with kids who have cancer at the Children's hospital. Saturday night Adams made one of his 300 lectures a year at the Ritz in Naples.
Adams is now 64 years old. His life is dedicated to traveling the world (64 countries) where he takes a group of clowns (regular people) to try to brighten the loves of kids, especially orphans and kids with disabilities. Adams showed a video where he spent 90 minutes with a young girl with Cerebal Palsy. All he did was give her his total attention, laughed with her and let her squeeze his clown nose.

46 years ago after 3 attempts to kill himself, Adams sais he decided he was going to love life and that he would never have another bad day. Since then he's been playing the clown for kids. "I'm yours if your hurting" he says. A movie starring Robin Williams was made of his life

After his presentation Adams signed copies of his book for everyone in the audience.
