Comcast will be raising cable rates about 2.5 percent on May 1st. Big increases will be for installation and repair. Comcast has been mailing customers change details. Comcast officials said investments in Internet, high definition, on-demand programming and new services forced the changes. Installation and repair costs will increase more drastically. A customer trouble call will increase $10 to $39.95. High definition or high definition digital video recorder installation will increase $10 to $29.95.
