CONGRATULATIONS!
Gateway Residents Did it!
Three weeks ago we started working together on one of the worst pieces of sidewalk in Gateway. The broken sidewalk was on one of the most traveled stretches in our community. It was a piece of sidewalk  elected officials said they've been trying to fix for years. That was clearly not the case. After sending a picture of the sidewalk to David Caldwell at WCI he immediately dispatched someone to find the broken cement.

Caldwell told me it would be taken care of and it was. Not only did WCI fix the sidewalk as promised it did not cost the Gateway residents a penny. That means there is even more good news.

Everyone who donated $5.00 for the sidewalk cause will be getting there money back. Please call me (225-7376) as soon as possible so I can return your money. It's the start of a trend every government agency should try. If you collect more money than you need, give it back to the people. It's their money. They earned it. Let them spend it as they choose.

I encourage you to send him a thank you e-mail You never know when we may need him again. For example, I asked him if he noticed all the potholes on the corner of Gateway Boulevard and Commerce Lakes. You can lose a good sized dwarf in those potholes.
