Gateway Resident John Gamba competed last Sunday in Ironman New Orleans. He finished the 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 run in 5 hours and 16 minutes. Gamba did not achieve his goal which was to qualify for the World Championships in Clearwater in November, but has signed up for Ironman Cancun in September to try again.
Gamba reports that New Orleans is back!!! The pride and energy surrounding the Super Bowl Champion Saints was infectious. The food, people and sites were a blast!
