Last night during the Gateway Services District Supervisors meeting Chairman Bob Nielson gave every Gateway resident the biggest reason he should go down to defeat if he decides to run for re-election in November. To me it's the main reason he has no business even being on the board now.
During the Wetland 47 discussion Nielson, who is obviously a board member, heck he's the chairman of the board of Supervisors, showed everyone he has no clue about what's going on. And his lack of understanding is costly to the community.
As you all know by now, this before, the board has been running up a Wetland 47 bill that is now approximately $100,000. Much of it is engineering and attorney fees that have gone unchecked by the board. As a member of the board Nielson is involved in the discussions, he has access to Wetland 47 reports, he's involved in the budgeting process and he agrees to pay, along with other board members, all invoices. I would say he has, or should have, as much knowledge about the issue as you, me and every other board member. Wouldn't you agree?
During the Wetland 47 discussion this was Bob Nielson's input and what you should really take note of as we head into the election. "Things are scurrying around, getting confusing at this point. We have attorney's and engineers involved at this point and spent $100,000." But, as always, with Boballoo it only gets better. "How did we get here? How did we get to this point? Folks that's when I started spitting my half-chewed rice cake dinner at the computer stream. How did we get here? How did we get here? We got here because you spent the money. We got here because you agreed to pay the fine. We are here now because you provide zero leadership and the issue lingers on to yet another meeting. The real question is how can you spend $100,000 of our money and ask How did we get here?
Only the residents can fix the situation by learning about candidates running for the board this year and making the correct decision about who they vote in.
