This is a crucial year for Gateway elections, here in Fort Myers, and, unlike many previous elections 2010 WILL NOT be under the radar. The Gateway Services District Board of Supervisors has two seats up for election. They are seats currently being held by Bob Nielson and Carol Stanley. A change in those two seats can certainly change how things are being done in our community.
The process to become a candidate for office here in Gateway can be found HERE. You have two options. If you would like to run without having to pay a $25.00 filing fee all you need is 25 valid resident signatures submitted to the Lee County Board of Elections by May 17th. There is also a candidate qualifying period from June 14th to June 18th.
